WIAC start date delayed by two days

Published: 6th Jun 2019 by Civa News

The organizer of 2nd FAI World Intermediate Aerobatic Championship has unfortunately decided to shorten the duration of the event due to the lower than expected number of competitors who submitted Entry forms and paid an Entry Fee. The reasons given have been purely economic, in their view the only other option was to cancel event. Their solution has been to delay the start date by two days, from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th July. The following dates all remain as approved by plenary.

After many exchanges between the organiser and the bureau of CIVA this date change has been acccepted as the only viable solution that can enable the event organiser to proceed. They have confirmed that they will continue in contact with all competitors to advise them of the change. The International Jury selected by delegates in plenary and the Judging Panel approved by the CIVA Judging Committee are unchanged, and the organisers confirm that accommodation for all officials remains in place as originally specified.

A more detailed information circular is being sent to all delegates with a fuller explanation of the situation.
