WIAC OK, WY52AC cancelled

WIAC
The World Intermediate Aerobatic Championship is due to run at Toruń in Poland from June 3rd to 11th. The organisers website at yak52wiac2022.eu currently shows a good number of entries, and they confirm that this championship will definitely go ahead as planned.

WY52AC
The number of entries for the 2022 World Yak-52 Aerobatic Championships has been disappointingly low, a total of only 10 pilots from 6 nations being received by the organisers. This unfortunately does not meet CIVA Section 6 part 1 Regulation para 1.2.5.2 that stipulate a minimum of 15 competitors from 5 countries are required to recognise an FAI World class aerobatic championship, and the organisers have been therefore forced to cancel this part of the event.

Are you hosting an aerobatic event?

Our aim is to provide forward information for everyone with an interest in aerobatic competition flying.

For this however we do need your help, so please make sure that your Aerobatic Club or National Airsport Control sends us details of all competitions that are open to pilots and/or judges from other countries and we’ll add them to our Championship Calendar so that they get the widest circulation possible.

Showcase your aerobatic photos

We are always looking for photos and videos of exciting or important aerobatic moments to use as page headers or in linked articles. Simply click on the button and submit your hi-res images or videos and we’ll use whatever we can.

Of course, if you see anything else that needs an update or a change then let us know by email - contact@civa-news.com - and we’ll attend to it right away.
