All 2023 Championships Fully Approved

Published: 12th Dec 2022 by Nick Buckenham

As a result of an online voting session for all Delegates on Sunday December 11th, all four CIVA Championships for 2023 operation are now fully approved. Complete details can be found here from the Championships listing on this website.

Thank you all for your attention and input in quickly reaching valid conclusions for each of these events. The CIVA web pages have now been updated with full details for all of the 2023 championships, including of course the previously approved 15th FAI WAAC that is due to run in the USA from 24 October to November 4. The FAI > CIVA  website events calendar and championship links will also be updated with this new information.

The organisers for the three recently approved championships will soon receive their FAI Organiser Agreements for review and signature, and we can all start our planning to get team pilots into their training regimes and other supporting officials prepared to travel to each one.

All of us in the various CIVA management teams wish you a relaxing and positive time over the Christmas period, and we look forward very much to an excellent and enjoyable set of challenging aerobatic championships around the world in 2023.

Are you hosting an aerobatic event?

Our aim is to provide forward information for everyone with an interest in aerobatic competition flying.

For this however we do need your help, so please make sure that your Aerobatic Club or National Airsport Control sends us details of all competitions that are open to pilots and/or judges from other countries and we’ll add them to our Championship Calendar so that they get the widest circulation possible.

Showcase your aerobatic photos

We are always looking for photos and videos of exciting or important aerobatic moments to use as page headers or in linked articles. Simply click on the button and submit your hi-res images or videos and we’ll use whatever we can.

Of course, if you see anything else that needs an update or a change then let us know by email - - and we’ll attend to it right away.
