CIVA Aerobatics Survey 2024

What do YOU want aerobatic competitions and CIVA championships to include?

FAI World and European aerobatic championships have been run according to CIVA regulations for over 60 years, and most national aerobatic rules are derived from them.

Aircraft design and structures have changed dramatically since those early days, though the sequences we fly are similar.

Are our championship regulations a good match for the requirements of today's world, or are changes necessary to meet the needs of modern aerobatic pilots and the far higher performance of the aircraft that we now fly?

CIVA meets annually to debate proposals for rule changes and decide whether they should be accepted into FAI Section 6 Part 1 (power) and Part 2 (glider) Regulations, or rejected. This survey aims to provide an opportunity for everyone to express their own opinion on any aspect of our current set of rules and ultimately how aerobatic sport develops around the world -

  • Pilots
  • Judges
  • Trainers
  • Organizers
  • Team members
  • Championship visitors
  • Media and Commercial Sponsors ...

Please take a few minutes to tell us what your ideal aerobatic championship would contain and how it should be run. We need feedback from EVERYONE involved in national / domestic and international aerobatic events to explain how you think CIVA should be developing our sport. If you have an interest in power or glider aerobatics - what do YOU want to see in future events?
